Ethel Charlene Hahn

May 28, 1927 — February 23, 2014

Ethel Charlene Hahn was born May 28, 1927 and passed on into eternity with the Heavenly Father February 23, 2014. She was born to Joe Mack and Lillie Mae Whitten in Shelby County, Texas. She resided in Temple, Texas for 40 years, and retired from Western Auto as a receiving clerk. She enjoyed BBQ cook-offs, and won many awards for the delicious BBQ she and her husband prepared for these contests. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Wanda Sue Chamberlain; brothers, Jesse Joe Mack Whitten and Wallace Melton Whitten; sisters, Lena Allene Armstrong, Angie Eugenia Gibbs, Mattie Lenora White and Princess Yvonne Walls. Survivors include her husband, Duane M. Hahn of Temple, Texas; daughter, Charlotte Temple and son, Mack A. Smith, Jr., both of Humble, Texas; grandsons, Travis Wayne Temple, Charles Brandon Chamberlain, Jason Allen Smith and Jonathan Adam Smith; great-granddaughter, Taylor Rae Norman; brothers, Enoch Whitten and Danny Whitten; sisters, Barbara Sheffield and Wanda Blake; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The celebration of her life will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home, 2525 North Main, Belton, Texas 76513, (254) 933-2525. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until service time.
