Rita G. Cox

Belton--- Funeral services for Rita G. Cox, 97, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with Father James Misko officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 5:30-7:00 PM with a Rosary following at 7:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Cox was born October 3, 1916 in Talla Bena, Louisiana, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Guidry. She married Roy Lester Cox June 27, 1939 in Reserve, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Cox in 2009, one son, David Cox in 2010 and a brother. Survivors include her husband of 74 years Roy Lester Cox of Belton, two sons Roy Lester Cox Jr, of Houston and Rod Cox of Belton, two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Christ the King Catholic Church Food Pantry.
