Funeral services for Yvonne Tindle, 87, of Belton, will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton with Rev. Billy Johnson and Rev. Justin Childers officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Tindle died Thursday, March 13, 2014, in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Tindle was born in Chilton, August 2, 1926, the daughter of George Dewey Atkins and Ophelia Elizabeth (Vinson) Atkins. She married Grady Delbert Tindle, May 5, 1950 in Marlin. She attended UMHB and was a graduate of Southwest Texas State University. She worked for more than 30 years at the V. A. Hospital in Temple as a medical records supervisor. She was a member of the Belton Kiwanis Club and the American Heart Association, in both clubs she was an officer. She also enjoyed organizing and participating in the V. A. Retirees Group of Temple. She was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church serving as secretary and a long time Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Tindle was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Cherie Bannister and one great grandchild. Survivors include one son Grady Michael Tindle of Temple; one daughter, Anna Dell Mathisen of Belton, one step daughter, Candice Campbell; one brother Bonner Joe Atkins of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton.
