Belton - Funeral services for Scott Smith, 34 of Belton will be held 10 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 1, 2014 from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home. Scott passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at a Temple hospital. He was born the son of Bobby and Mary (Moncrief) Smith on August 6, 1979 in Killeen. Scott graduated from Belton High School in 1997 where he was a Belton Tiger through and through. He loved sports especially baseball which he played throughout high school in Belton. Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing and to just have a good fun time. He was a friend to everyone with his big smile and never met a stranger. He loved to make music with his guitar and write songs. Most of all, Scott loved his children dearly. Survivors include his parents, Bobby and Mary Smith; one son, Lyrik Mason Smith; a daughter, Emma Grace Smith; one brother Chris Smith; and four grandparents, Donald Lee Moncrief and his wife, Ida Lorine Moncrief, Howard Hooks and his wife Shirley Hooks.
