Dolores M. Meyer

Belton--- Funeral services for Dolores Meyer, 90, of Belton, will be held at 10AM Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Dossman Funeral Home with Rev. Darren Rich officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Meyer was born March 12, 1924, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Harley Owen Prather and Osa May Byrd Prather. She married Kenneth Lionel Meyer September 5, 1944 in Akron, Ohio. She was a military wife. She traveled the world. Mrs. Meyer enjoyed learning everything she could about the places she lived. She enjoyed the museums, art, and history of each country or city they lived in. She was well traveled, self-educated and very cultured. She attended church at the Nolan Valley Baptist Church in Belton. Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters Kathy Ward and Debbie Meyer and one son Richard Meyer. Survivors include one son Charles C. Meyer of Casselbury, FL and one daughter Nancy Ross-McCormack of Belton one brother Richard Prather of Akron, Ohio, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
