Dorothy Tibbit

Funeral services for Dorothy Tibbit, 95, of Belton, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Brent Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 2:00 PM Saturday at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Tibbit died Friday, May 23, 2014, in a Belton Nursing Home. Mrs. Tibbit was born February 20, 1919 in Dierks, Arkansas, the daughter of William Alfred Miller and Josie Ozella Greenhaw. She moved to Belton in 1955. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Tibbit was preceded in death by one son, Tim Tibbit. Survivors include one daughter Myrna Palmer of Belton and three sons, Jimmy Tibbit of El Paso, Wesley Tibbit of Belton and Phil Tibbit of Albuquerque, New Mexico, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
