Millard Dean Taylor

Belton - Funeral services for Millard Dean Taylor, 76 of Temple, will be held 11:00AM Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Billy Koimn officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Millard Dean passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at a Temple hospital. He was born in Little River, Texas September 30, 1937, the son of Millard Filmore Taylor and Geraldine (Garner) Taylor. He married his wife, Claudia Shirlene (Shuler) Taylor on June 15, 1963 at Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton where he is also a member. Millard lived in Central Texas his whole life and was retired from Wilson Art and Johnson Brother's Ford. He loved to watch westerns, sports on television and listening to country music. He also loved to travel and sit outside and watch the outdoors. Millard is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Geneva Taylor, Joan Nallie, and Aleta White. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Shirlene Taylor of Temple; two sons, Robert Russell Taylor, Jason Claude Taylor, both of Temple; one daughter, Erin Denise Taylor of Temple; one brother, Jimmy Taylor of Corsicana; three sisters, Margie Sharp of Moody, Wanda Byers of North Carolina, Janet O'Neal of Temple; and one grandson, Joshua Alexander Taylor of Temple. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
