Jerry Nell Parker 1936 - 2014 Jerry Nell Parker, 78, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at her home with her daughters by her side. She was born April, 1936, in Wills Point to J. Herman Parker and Clara Mae Parker. Jerry graduated from Edgewood High School in 1954 and attended the University of Houston. She worked at Great Southern Life Insurance Company for many years and retired from the State of Texas in 2001. No matter what the relationship was with her, her generosity, loyalty, compassion and love of her family and fellow man was always evident. Some called her neighbor and friend, sister, aunt, grandmother and mom. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles W. Parker, her sister, Wanda J. Castleberry and nephew, Mike Castleberry. Survivors include her loving daughters, Delma Gayle Milan, Sharon Renee Wobbe, son-in-law, Jeffrey R. Milan; grandsons, Shane Duvall Milan and Reece Aloys Milan; her sister, Charlotte Ann Wheeler and brother-in-law, Jimmy; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews "You will be sorely missed in this messed up world. You were a bright spot that shined brightly! Thanks for the great memories; for a certainty there will be an afterglow long after in your wake." We love you and miss you!
