Belton--- Memorial services for Paul Raymond Lambert, 71 of Temple will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Moody with Tom Shelton officiating. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements and Mr. Lambert is to be cremated prior to services. Paul Raymond Lambert died Sunday, July 6, 2014 of a long time illness, living far beyond his life expectancy, at his home in Temple. He was born December 1, 1942, in Madrid, Iowa, the son of Raymond Lambert and June Maxine (Campbell) Lambert. He married his wife, Edith, on June 24, 1962 in Holland, Texas. He moved to central Texas in 1961 from where he was raised in Iowa. Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moody and the Moody Chamber of Commerce. He loved to play golf, race cars, especially Sprint Cars, and had recruited his whole family as his race team. Paul also served in the United States Army for four years. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen Conklin and Charlotte Peterson. Survivors include his wife, Edith Lambert; one son, Terry Lambert and wife JoAnne; a daughter, Cim Owens and husband Asa; three brothers, Jerry Lambert, Barry Lambert, and Harry Trevarthen; two sisters, Nancy Collins and Tanna Corrigan; and three grandchildren, Ara Owens, Aric Owens, and Haeleigh Lambert. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, STE: 304, Chicago, Illinois, 60611. Or the American Cancer Society, P.O.
