Paul Wayne Heffner

Paul Wayne Heffner died Sunday, July 26 in Temple. Services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born December 17, 1918, to Ira and Gertrude Heffner in Hamilton, Ohio. He married Grace Emma Mock in 1938. They moved to Florida in 1953. He was a carpenter and home builder, an auto mechanic and a sheet metal mechanic. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He moved to Belton in 2002 and attended the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Lawrence Heffner of Orlando, Florida; daughter, Shirley J. Sykes and husband John M. Sykes of Belton; grandson, Nathan C. Sykes and great-granddaughter, Genesis M. Sykes, both of Belton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLane Children's Hospital, 1901 SW H K Dodgen Loop, Temple, Texas 76502. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton and Nurre-Mihouk-Rosenacker Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio are in charge of arrangements.
