Belton--- Funeral services for Cynthia Cox 63, of Belton will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. James Misko officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Ronnie Lastovica. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:30 - 7:00 PM prior to the Rosary. Mrs. Cox died Sunday evening August 3, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Cox was born March 10, 1951 in Bunkie, Louisiana, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Eugina (Blaylock) Kojis. She married Rod Cox August 21, 1971 in Bunkie, Louisiana. She lived in Orange before moving to Belton in 2003. Mrs. Cox was a teacher. She taught in Catholic School for twenty years and taught at Belton High School for the last 10 years. She was an AP and Pre AP Chemistry teacher. Mrs. Cox was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. At Christ the King she was a member of Mary Queen of the Rosary. She was preceded in death by one son Christopher Cox in 2009. Survivors include her husband Rod Cox of Belton, son Joshua Cox of Keller, daughter Erin McCormick of Kyle, two sisters Yvonne Scalfano of Alexandria, Louisiana and Brenda Bouchie of Natchitoches, Louisiana and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church Food Pantry.
