Maria De Jesus Gonzalez

Maria De Jesus Gonzalez of Belton passed away on August 29, 2014 at the age of 69. She was born in San Luis del Cordero, Durango, Mexico on July 17, 1945 and was a resident of Belton for many years. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fidel Gonzalez, her six children, Felix and wife Barbie, Fidel and wife Elida, Alma Reyes, Alberto, Jaime and wife Amy, Julie and husband Anthony Gamino, 12 grandchilren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Brigida and Agustina Jimenez, and brother Cecilio Jimenez all from Monterrey, Mexico. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Her greatest joy and love in life was her family. She enjoyed seeing her family get together and loved cooking for them her traditional Mexican food dishes. Maria passed away after a long battle with illness surrounded by family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements. There will be a viewing Monday, September 1, 2014 from 6 to 7 PM, followed by a rosary from 7 to 8 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Christ The King Catholic Church in Belton. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
