Robert L. Brown

Belton--- Funeral services for Robert Brown, 56, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Crossroads Church with Harry Thrasher officiating under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Mount Mariah Cemetery in Briggs, Texas. Mr. Brown passed away August 27, 2014 at a Temple hospital. Robert Brown was born January 10, 1958 in Austin, the son of Joe Brown and Evelyn (Hasty) Brown. Robert married his wife, Carol (Grigsby) Brown on February 24, 2001 in Indiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Crossroads Church in Belton. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Carol Brown of Temple; parents, Joe and Evelyn Brown; one son, Robert Brown Jr. of Jarrell; one daughter, Amanda Brown of Temple; one brother, James Brown; a sister, Audrey Moore; and three grandchildren, Vincent Brown, Haylee Brown, and Tabitha Yanez.
