Alan Rush Shropshire

Belton--- Graveside services for Alan Rush Shropshire, 59, of Houston, will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 2, 2014, at North Belton Cemetery with Steve Durbin officiating under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Alan passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at his home in Houston. He was born March 4, 1955, in Belton, the son of Kenneth Rush Shropshire and Annie Maude (Cass) Shropshire. Alan was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's in Business. He worked as an Accountant in Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth and Annie Shropshire. Survivors include his brother, Jim Shropshire of Belton; a sister, Karen Durbin and husband Steve of Cleburne; and two nieces, Kristen Patterson and husband Scott of Denton; and Kelli Holt of Argyle.
