Belton--- Funeral services for Jerry G. "Red" Ayres, 68, of The Grove, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jeremy Connell officiating. Burial will follow at the Flint Creek Cemetery. The Family will receive friends for visitation Sunday evening from 5-7 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Ayres died Friday, October, 31, 2014 at his home in The Grove. Mr. Ayres was born, July 7, 1946, in Temple, the son of William and Laura (Graham) Ayres. He was a life long resident of The Grove. He attended school in Flat. Mr. Ayres married Cindy Beasley, June 9, 1972 in Temple. Mr. Ayres was an ironworker. He was a member of the Ironworkers Union and Millwright Union. He also was the owner of Red's Bar for 18 years. Survivors include his wife of 42 years; three sons Jerry Gayle "Bonz" Ayres, Jr. and wife Sherry of Davilla, Paul Ayres and wife Mary of The Grove, Skyler Ayres of The Grove; one daughter Kylie Woods and husband Joe of The Grove; one sister Margie Bone of Dublin and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Scott and White Dialysis Center.
