Marguerite Faye Schrimsher

Funeral services for Marguerite Faye Schrimsher, 88, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bruce Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Schrimsher died Thursday, November 6, 2014 in a Belton Nursing Home. Mrs. Schrimsher was born March 17, 1926 in Flat, the daughter of Jasper Jefferson Bruton and Hattie Sue Halkins Bruton. She attended school in Flat and later proudly received her GED in the early 1970's. She married Hiram J. Schrimsher in 1943 in Belton. She was a member of Miller Heights Belton Church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Shrimsher was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and three children, Lorna June Schrimsher in 1954, Michael Keith Schrimsher in 1998 and SharonFaye Schrimsher Murrah in 2006. Survivors include son Richard Schrimsher of Belton, daughter Lana Schrimsher Keeler of Belton, one brother Floyd Bruton of Montgomery, and three sisters Yvonne Sharpton of Beaumont, Sue Micka of Tomball and Carolyn McDonald of Bullard; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
