Mass of Christian burial for Frank D. Mares, 94 of Belton will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 21, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with Rev. John Jungtack Kim officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00PM to 7:00PM with a rosary starting at 7:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home. Mr. Mares passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at a local nursing home. He was born June 21, 1920, in Oscar, Texas to Frank Mares and Jennie (Mikus) Mares. Frank married Clara Helen Klaus on September 29, 1945 in Temple. Frank was a founding member of Christ the King Catholic Church; he was a Pearl Harbor survivor, a member of the military from 1938-1960 serving in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and retiring from the U.S. Air force in 1960. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Ann Rabroker and husband Charles, 3 grandchildren, Sarah Rabroker, Timothy Rabroker and wife Amelia, Nicholas Rabroker and wife Lori, 6 great-grandchildren, Clayton Rabroker, Morgan Winkler, Connor Vela, Andrew Rabroker, Charles David Rabroker, and Cecelia Rabroker, and many nieces and nephews.
