Jessie Laverne Moran

Funeral services for Jessie LaVerne Moran, 77, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2014, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ramiro Pena officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Mrs. Moran died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Moran was born November 19, 1937 in Temple the daughter of Jessie James Pruitt and Mary Ellen Kelley. She married Robert Moran in Las Vegas. She worked for many years as a presser at Pittman's Cleaners and later sold Insurance with National Life. She also worked for the Corps of Engineers as a gate attendant at Temple Lake Park and Union Grove Park. She enjoyed canning, camping and golf. Mrs. Moran was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter. Survivors include her husband Robert Moran of Belton; two sons Randy Hyde of Temple and James Biddy of Little River; two daughters Doris Blair of Belton and Jackie Fields of Belton; one brother Clarence Pruitt of Temple, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
