Memorial services for Thomas F. Tapman, 82, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Dunson officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at noon at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Mr. Tapman died Friday evening in a Temple hospital. Mr. Tapman was born, December 3, 1932 in Waco, the son of Harry Tapman and Tommie Little Tapman. He married Charlene Trewitt, December 28, 1958 in Gatesville. Mr. Tapman retired from the United States Air Force after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of The Order of the Daedalians, the Quiet Birdmen, and the Super Sabre Society. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Belton. Survivors include his wife Charlene Tapman of Belton, one son Thomas Trewitt Tapman of San Antonio and one daughter Tamara Ann Tapman of San Antonio, two sisters, Betty Thrasher of Temple and Peggy Jobe of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one grandson and one great granddaughter. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Belton P. O. Box 367, Belton, Texas 76513, the Bell County Museum, 201 North Main Street, Belton, Texas 76513 or the charity of your choice.
