Funeral services for LaRue Spitzer Wilson, 83, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Leroy Kemp and Rev. Sam Callaway officiating. Burial will follow at the Moody Cemetery. The Family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00- 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Wilson died Friday, January 9, 2015, in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Wilson was born October 7, 1931 in Heidenheimer, the daughter of Henry Clarence Spitzer and Ethel Leona (Goode) Spitzer. She married Monroe Wilson November 6, 1952 in Belton. The couple made their home in Illinois for 20 years where they farmed. Mrs. Wilson moved back to Belton in 1972. Mrs. Wilson worked for many years at the IGA Minimax in Belton as a checker. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the First Baptist Church in Belton. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971 and one brother LeMon Spitzer. Survivors include one son LeMon Jay Wilson of Belton; two daughters Melinda Sue Jarosek of Temple and Monice LaRae Cox of Troy, one sister Linda Chaney of Belton; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
