Graveside services for June Davis, 86, of Clifton, will be held at 3 PM Friday, February 13, 2015, at the North Belton Cemetery with Minister Steve Countryman officiating, The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in a Clifton Nursing Home. Mrs. Davis was born in Blair Oklahoma March 13, 1928 and grew up in Kenedy, Texas the daughter of Robert and Edna (Smith) Hinton. She married George William "Bill" Davis June 1946 in Kenedy. She worked in education as a secretary and a teacher's aide. She lived in many towns all over Texas including Austin, Corpus Christi, Belton, Temple, Killeen, Cleburne and Manor. She moved to Clifton in 2009. Mrs. Davis was Church of Christ with has last membership at Elgin Church of Christ. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband in 2009 and one son Mike Davis. Survivors include one son Jack Davis and his wife Carolyn of Clifton, one daughter Anita Kay Youngblood and her husband Johnny of Kingwood, and daughter-in-law Judy Davis Burnham of Liberty Hill; two brothers Hartford Smith of Spokane, Washington and Firman Barton of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Cherokee Home for Children 13355 Texas 16, Cherokee, Texas 76832
