Michael W. Hughes

Funeral services for Michael W. Hughes, 64, of Belton will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2015 at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Temple with Rev. Brad Saint Romaine officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. Mr. Hughes died Monday, February 16, 2015 in a Temple hospital. Mr. Hughes was born December 22, 1950, in Temple, the son of John and Lorene (Orsag) Hughes. He married Peggy Lowe, June 26, 1971 in Temple at Christ Episcopal Church. Mr. Hughes was a painter and worked for Spinn Drywall. He was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Temple. Survivors include his wife Peggy Hughes of Belton; son Greg Hughes and wife Windi of Smithson Valley and daughter Shelley Smith of Belton; six grandchildren, Whitnie, Cole, Beaux, Garrett, Truett and Brett. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Belton.
