Curtis Hayes

Funeral services for Curtis Dale Hayes of Temple, Texas will be at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Tx at 10:00 A.M. Monday February 23, 2015 Curtis passed away peacefully at his home on 02/20/2015. He was born on December 23, 1927 in Coryell County, Tx to Luther and Mildred Hayes. He married Mary Titlow on July 31, 1953. Curtis retired from the City of Temple after 25 years as City Electrical Inspector. He then worked as an independent electrician for many more years, until retiring due to Parkinson's disease. He and Mary travelled and enjoyed retirement and he continued to work on his farm and land as long as he was able. He was a faithful member of 15th Street Church of Christ in Temple. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Glynn Bell. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Hayes; son, Dale Hayes and wife Marshann; daughter, Kay Hiser and husband Greg; three granddaughters, Kelley, Ashlee, and Kimberly; one great-grandson, Collin Dale; four sisters, Wonnie Morgan, Minnie Cox, Dessie Honeycutt, Jean McKinney; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to thank caregivers, Sandy Stephens and Scott and White Hospice for all their help and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to 15th Street Church of Christ in Temple or the charity of your choice.
