P.W. (Sonny) Wood

Funeral services for P.W. (Sonny) Wood, 83 of Belton, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at North Belton Cemetery with Andy Davis officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Mr. Wood died Thursday, March 26, 2015 in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Wood was born April 28, 1931, in Rogers, the son of D.W. Wood and Edith Mae (Morgan) Wood. He married Clara McKown on September 2, 1955 in San Saba, Texas. Sonny served in the United States Army and retired from Corps of Engineers Lake Belton in 1985. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; John Davis and two sisters; Lily Wood Landrum and Susie Wood Harris. Survivors include his wife, daughter; Linda Beck, four grandchildren; Joshua, Laurie, John Henry and Jason and three great grandchildren; Mason, Payton and Waylen.
