Mr. Pittman was born January 7, 1921 in Killeen, the son of Leslie J. Pittman and Rosa Mae (Cosper) Pittman. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U. S. Navy. He married Mary Francis Twitty January 17, 1945 in Redondo Beach, California. He founded Pittman's Cleaners in Belton August 8, 1946. He retried in 1987. Mr. Pittman served as President of the Belton Chamber of Commerce and the Belton I. S. D. School Board. While serving as president of the school board he worked to see to the smooth integration of Belton schools. Survivors include his wife Mary Francis Pittman, two sons Lee Pittman and Mark Pittman and daughter Peggy Timbrook all of Belton; one brother Glenn Pittman of Grapvine, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
