Mary Elizabeth Shelton

Funeral services for Mary E. Shelton, 80, of Thompsons Station, Tennessee, formerly of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Webb officiating. Burial will follow at the Val Verde Cemetery, The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 Pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Shelton was born April 24, 1935, in Belton, the daughter of Joe and Pairlee (Burtchell) Crawford. She married Roy H. Shelton May 19, 1950 in Belton. Her and her husband owned and operated The Hamburger Stand in the Park in Belton in the 1960's. She worked for Smith Brothers Grocery in Belton for 27 years. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001. Survivors include her daughter Emma Alice Pavey of Moffat, five sons Roy Allen Shelton of New York, Gary Lee Shelton of Wisconsin, Donald Shelton of Haltom City, Joe Howard Shelton of Temple and Anthony Gene Shelton of Tenn. One brother Walter Crawford of Morgans Point Resort and one sister Pat Stinnett of Waco, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
