Graveside services for Robert W. Moran, 87 of Temple, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 17, 2015 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton with Rev. Jim Crothers officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Moran died Thursday, August 13, 2015 in a Harker Heights, Texas at the Indian Oaks Living Center where he was well taken care of by the nurses and the staff. He was also in the care of Gentiva Hospice where he was loved and taken care of as well. The staff loved Mr. Moran like one of their own family members. Mr. Moran was born, July 7, 1928, to Arron and Esther (Jacobson) Moran. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He married Jessie Moran in Las Vegas. He worked for many years as a lineman for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He also worked for the Corps of Engineers as a gate attendant at Temple Lake Park and Union Grove Park. Mr. Moran also owned and operated a sale barn in Bosswell Indiana. Mr. Moran was a Christian. He is preceded in death by his wife Jessie LaVerne Moran, a brother Donny Moran, and a great granddaughter. Survivors include his sons, Randy Hyde of Temple, James Biddy of Little River-Academy and Bobby Moran. Daughters Jackie Fields, Doris Blair of Belton, Robin Vonallmen, and Cindy Moran. One sister, Gladys Moran. 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Memorial may be made to Gentiva Hospice and the Ronald McDonald House.
