Roy Lester Cox

Funeral Services for Roy Lester Cox, 100, of Belton will be 11 a.m. Tuesday October 6, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery in Belton. Mr. Cox died Tuesday September 29, at his residence. He was born May 27, 1915 in New Orleans to Samuel Adams Cox and Agnes (Barrilleaux) Cox. He married Rita (Guidry) Cox on June 27, 1939. He is preceded in death by his wife; a son, David Cox and a grandson, Christopher Cox. Survivors include two sons, Roy Lester Cox, Jr. of Houston and Rod Cox of Belton; two grandchildren, Erin McCormick and husband Doug and Josh Cox and wife Tami and eight great grandchildren, Ciara, Steven, Ethan, Annabeth, William, Madeline, Juliet and Lauren. Visitation will be Monday October 5, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton; a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church food pantry.
