Maria De La Luz (Lucy) Rivera

Funeral Mass for Maria De la Luz (Lucy) Rivera, 79, of Belton will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday October 7, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery in Belton. Mrs. Rivera passed away Saturday, October 3 in a Temple hospital. She was born November 27, 1935 to Victor Cisneros and Luz C. Ramirez in Eagle Pass, Texas. She married Rodolfo Rivera November 24, 1956 in Laredo, Texas. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton and Our Lady of San Juan Mission in Moody for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a son David C. Rivera; two daughters, Esther Rivera Lopez of Belton and Sandra Alvarado and husband Carlos of Belton; two brothers, Everado Ramirez, Jr. and wife Lily and Roberto Ramirez and wife Consuelo; a sister Maria Alicia Wise and husband Lucio; ten grandchildren, Carlos Antonio Lopez, David Anthony Rivera, Vanessa Iris Lopez, Marisol Elizabeth Garcia, Andrea Celestte Lopez, Danielle Nicole Joly, Victor Roman Lopez, Alejandro Javier Lopez, Samantha Marie Rivera, Leticia Anne Alcozer and fifteen great grandchildren, Cody, Sierra, Kailey, Michael, Avva, Aiden, Angle, Ezekiel, Micah, Jasmine, Antonio, Floreina, Remy, Alahni and Baby Mendez. Visitation will be Tuesday October 6, from 6 to 7 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Dossman Funeral Home.
