Robert S. Mckenzie

Services for Robert S. McKenzie, 83, of Belton will be Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Dossman Funeral home with Ray Featherston officiating. Burial will be in the North Belton Cemetery. Mr. McKenzie died Friday, October 9, 2015, in Belton. He was born November 9, 1931 in Holland Texas to John Henry and Emily McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie worked for Odell Geer Construction Company for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member and founder of Belton Lighthouse Church. Survivors include his wife Janette McKenzie of Belton; Two sons, Robert Lee McKenzie of Belton, Justin Robert McKenzie of Temple. One sister, Joyce Marie McKenzie of Belton; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. McKenzie is preceded in death by his wife Carol McKenzie; four brothers, Woodrow McKenzie, Leroy McKenzie, Johnny McKenzie, and Clarence McKenzie; Two sisters, Ruth Hendrix and Frances Springer. Visitation will be Monday October 12, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dossman Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Belton Lighthouse Church.
