Arthur Washburn

Funeral services for Rev. Arthur Washburn, 87, of Belton, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clarence "Bubba" Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Washburn died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in a Temple Hospital. Rev. Washburn was born December 19, 1927 in San Saba, the son of Joseph William Washburn and Clara Adeline "Addie" Ratliff Washburn. He married Lucille King, June 20, 1960 in Belton. He was a truck driver for 50 years. For 24 years he was the minister of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Belton, beginning his ministry in 1991. Rev. Washburn is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lucille Washburn of Belton, three sons Freddy Washburn of Temple, Joe Washburn of Belton and Ronnie Washburn of Belton, one daughter Brenda Dixon of Richland Springs; two sisters Velma McLean of Killeen and Joyce Barker of Salado. 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
