Sidney Ray Sherwood

Sidney Ray Sherwood, 78, of Belton passed away October 31, 2015 in Temple. Mr. Sherwood was born December 24, 1936 in Johnson, KS to Alpha Loid and Laura Roles Sherwood. He worked in the oil field as a driller for many years. Mr. Sherwood also trained Labradors as a job and a hobby. He loved to train these dogs and received calls from all over the United States to train them. Survivors include one son, Sid Perkins Sherwood of Belton; two daughters Laura Marie Sherwood of Alaska and Kelly Jo Sherwood of Belton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials can be made to Heart of Texas Lab Rescue or Ducks Unlimited.
