Frank Ortega

Funeral services for Frank S. Ortega, 81, of Temple, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 13, 2015, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Minor officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Ortega died Monday, November 9, 2015, at his home. Mr. Ortega was born April 1, 1934 in Moorseville, the son of John and Catalina (Salas) Ortega. He married Elizabeth Morin September 29, 1957. He was a resident of Bell County for more than 50 years. He was a mechanic for the City of Belton for many years. He was a member of The Church of God of the First Born. He was always willing to help a friend in need. Mr. Ortega was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Ortega, two sons Frank Ortega Jr. and James Ortega, and grandson, Robert Francis Ortega. Survivors include son, Robert Ortega of Temple and daughter Kathleen Mears of Temple, four brothers John Ortega, Felix Ortega, Timothy Ortega and Lupe Ortega all of Fort Worth; five grandchildren, Jessica Ortega, Kathleen Ortega, James Mears, Jonathan Mears and Sarah Mears; and one great granddaughter Madilynn Mears. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
