Carlton "Jack" Van Winkle

Funeral services for Carlton "Jack" Van Winkle, 76, of Moffat will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Moffat Cemetery with full military honors.
The Family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Van Winkle died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Van Winkle was born January 20, 1939 in Athens the son of George Washington Van Winkle and Sara Oleta Wiley Van Winkle. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the United States Army in 1976 after 22 years of service. He married Linda Morris, November 27, 1993 in Belton. He was a lifetime member of both the VFW and the DAV.
Survivors include his wife Linda Van Winkle of Moffat; son Jerry Ray Van Winkle, four step daughters Eva Burt, Loretta Jackson, Joyce Jones and Crystal Shelton; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
