Joyce Maurine Cearley “ Mama C.”

Mrs. Cearley passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 2, 1941 to Horace and Doris Davis in Caldwell, TX, but raised in Rogers, TX. She worked at Tuck’s Drive- In as a car hop in Rogers when she met and then married Bennie Frank Cearley on February 14, 1958. Throughout their 58 years of marriage they lived and traveled all over the United States and Germany. Even through her travels, her favorite team was the Holland Hornets and loved being dressed in her purple Holland Hornet Spirit Shirt yelling for “her kids.”

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, her son Frank (Bubba) Cearley, Jr., her grandson Justin Frank Cearley, her four brothers, and her infant sister. Survivors include her husband Frank and her children Cindy Rice, Pam Atkinson and husband Ben, Mike Cearley and wife Melany, Kevin Cearley and wife Irma, Gary Cearley, her 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one brother, Ray Davis and wife, Joy.

The services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Holland on Thursday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. She will be buried at Holland Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that all donations be made to Holland High School Scholarship Fund.
