Daphayne Lou; the daughter of Lewis Richard McNett and Thelma Katherine (O'Roke) McNett; was the 3rd child born July 20, 1934 in Hamlin, Ks. She was raised as a farmer’s daughter in Morrill, Ks and graduated from Morrill High School as class Valedictorian. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Richard and Ercil, his wife Frankie and her older sister Darlene, her husband Art. She is survived by her younger sister Reaona and husband FJ.

Daphayne was married December 7, 1952 to Raymond P Wagner at Morrill, Ks, who preceded her in death. To that union four children were born, two sons and two daughters. Shortly after marriage she moved to Southern California where she maintained her residency until moving to Texas with her daughter 2 years ago.

Daphayne was loved by all who knew her. She had an infectious laugh that warmed your heart when heard. She adored all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her legacy lives on with 4 Children Bobby Wagner and wife Barbara, Lena Wagner, Debi Stokesbary and husband Glenn, and Ed Wagner; 10 Grandchildren Jeff, Christopher (wife Lisa), Robert (Deceased), Joshua (wife Jenny), Naesha, Tara (husband Mike), Amber (husband James), Jenna, Alexander, and Kayla; 11 Great Grandchildren Brittney, Tyler, Ashley, Layci, Amy, Scott, Lynn, Jason, Tristan, Lexa, and Kameron; 1 Great Great Grandchild Walker.

Daphayne shared many proud and happy memories of her family and friends. She enjoyed reading and playing crossword puzzles. She always tried to find the positive side of things and accepted those for who they were. Veterans, both men and women held a special place in Daphayne’s heart for all who served especially family members She was very sensitive and considerate, championing those she felt might be slighted. She spoke her mind and her faith was a great comfort to her. She loved her black Scottish terrier Ebony, affectionately known to some as neezer dog and to others as Mr. Scott.
