Roy L. "Rock" Rockholt

April 20, 1931 — April 16, 2016

Funeral services for Roy L. "Rock" Rockholt, 84, of Belton, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Eugene Greer officiating.  Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen

Mr. Rockholt died Saturday, April 16, 2016 in a Temple hospital.
Mr. Rockholt was born April 20, 1931, in Quanah, the son of Luther William and Thelma Bessie (Sellers) Rockholt.  He married Charlene Montgomery,November 2, 1952, in Quanah.  He served in the U. S. Army for 23.5 years, retiring January 31, 1974.  He later worked for 18 years with Texas Hydraulics.  He was a member of the Heidenheimer Church of Christ.  He was a Mason.
Mr. Rockholt was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth Rockholt and sister Dorothy Matthews.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Charlene Rockholt of Belton, one son John A. Rockholt of Morgans Point Resort; brother Norman Rockholt of Quanah and sister Jean Dinsman of Altus, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Misty Harmon and John Wesley Rockholt; five great grandchildren Bailey Harmon, Jake Rockholt, Jackie Rockholt, John Wyatt Rockholt and John Westrn Rockholt
