Ronald Flanary, Jr.

Ronald E.Flanary, Jr., 55, of Belton passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Belton.

Funeral services for Ronald will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Ronald was born on July 19, 1960 in Baltimore , Maryland to Ronald Sr. and Ida (Howell) Flanary. He graduated from River Road High School in Amarillo , Texas in 1978. Mr. Flanary joined the Air Force shortly after graduation, but was discharged due to an injury. He joined the General Motors Corporation shortly after and worked for GM until his health forced him into retirement in 2006. Ronald loved children and often volunteered his time and efforts to children’s causes and charities when he was able. He married Janice Zummach in January of 2005 in Las Vegas , Nevada .

Survivors include his wife Janice, his parents Ronald Sr. and Ida, a son Ronald Flanary, III , daughter Raina Flanary, sisters Patty Drake and Susan Frick, and three grandchildren, Megan Malone, Camden York, and Isabella Schmidt.

Honoring Ronald as pallbearers will be Jesse Howell, Ronald Flanary, III , Troy Frick, Tanner Frick, Jimmy Drake, and Will Drake.

A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or a children’s charity of your choice.
