Jeannine Blair

A memorial service for Jeannine Blair, 85, of Belton will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Belton with Andy Davis and Dr. Leroy Kemp officiating. A visitation will take place in the church lobby after the service. Mrs. Blair passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Belton.

Jeannine was born on January 22, 1931 in Belton, Texas to Martin and Pearl (Griffin) Digby. Mrs. Blair married Robert Glenn Blair, Sr. on February 11, 1947 at the Baptist parsonage in Holland, Texas. She was a homemaker and attended 1st Christian Church for a time. Later she and her husband became members of the First Baptist Church in Belton. While at First Baptist Church she served in many capacities, as a Sunday School teacher in the children's department, as a member of the Benevolence Committee, as director of the Homeland Ministry, and she was involved in the Prayer Ministry and the Golden Age Club.

Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, a daughter Mary Beth Farris in 2014, and a great granddaughter Riley Paige Pittman in 2007.

Mrs. Blair is survived by her sons Bob Blair of Cypress, Texas, Billy Blair and his wife Susan of Ft. Worth, Texas, and James Blair and his wife Debra of Cameron, Texas, as well as a daughter Jeannie Pittman and her husband Lee of Belton, Texas, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Dwayne Digby and his wife JoAnn, and sisters Mattie Wesson, Gale Cosper, and Rita Locklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to the First Baptist Church of Belton, 506 N. Main Street, Belton, Texas 76513.
