Cynthia "Sam" Dunlap

Funeral services for Cynthia “Sam” Dunlap, 79, of Belton, will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister William Dudley Watson officiating. Burial will follow at the Bellwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 PM, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Dunlap died Monday, July 25, 2016 in a Belton, Nursing Home.

Mrs. Dunlap was born February 16, 1937 in Roodhouse, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Robert Shaw and Mary Mariah (Briscoe) Shaw.

She moved from Illinois to Texas in 1970. She married Terrell Dunlap September 23, 1970 in Temple . She worked for Mobil Chemical before gong to work as a dispatcher for Lochridge Priest in 1975. She worked for Lochridge Priest until retiring in 2007. She was a Christian.

Mrs. Dunlap was preceded in death by her husband May 23, 1996.

Survivors include one son Eric Shaw and wife Jaren of Bandera and one daughter Erin Banks and her husband Phillip; one brother John Shaw and his wife Mary Beth of St. Louis , Missouri . Three grandchildren Whitney, MacKenzie and Onna; one great granddaughter Payton.
