Fred Wylie Stroud

Funeral services for Fred W. Stroud, 89, of Round Rock, formerly of Salado , will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016 , at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Allen K. Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery ,

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to services at 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stroud died Thursday, July 28, 2016 in a Round Rock Hospital .

Mr. Stroud was born November 29, 1926 , in Belton, the son of Fred and Etta (Barrett) Stroud. He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946. He married Betty Spence, November 5, 1948 in Temple . He was an active member of the Armstrong Community before moving to Austin in the 1950’s. He was a salesman. He sold fire trucks and school buses. He moved from Austin to Salado in the early 1990’s and lived there until June 2016.

He was preceded in death by his wife June 26, 2010 .

Survivors include his son Ron Stroud of Leander and daughter Sandra Nodler of Bastrop . Two grandchildren, Quentin Nodler and Morgan Nutt.
