Walter Leroy Shantz

Walter Leroy Shantz, 74, of Nolanville passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 in a Temple hospital.

Services for Mr. Shantz will be held in Langhorne, Pennsylvania at a later date.

Walter was born on September 7, 1941 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania to Ira and Florence (Hummel) Shantz. He grew up in Manayunk, Pennsylvania and worked for F&G Williams Company as a truck driver. He married Mary Martinez in Feasterville, Pennsylvania on October 30, 1971 and she preceded him in death in 2002. Mr. Shantz moved to the Central Texas area in June of 2003.

He is survived by sons Walter Shantz and his wife Michelle, Ryan Shantz, daughter Rebecca Martin and her husband Keith, a sister Florence Rothenberger, and five grandchildren.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the local arrangements.
