Christopher M. Cummings

Christopher Mark Cummings, 58, of Temple passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 in a Temple hospital.

A memorial service for Chris will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Temple with Rev. Tom Robbins officiating.

Chris was born on September 19, 1958 in Silver City, New Mexico to Donald and Peggy (Lamb) Cummings. He moved to Temple as an infant and lived in the area for the rest of his life. Mr. Cummings graduated from Temple High School in 1976 and attended Central Texas College in Killeen. Chris worked as a disc jockey for numerous radio stations in the Central Texas area including 105.5 and 101.7. He also worked as a weather man for KCEN television for a period of time. Chris was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Temple. He married Stephanie Toor on May 21, 2011 in Temple.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy. He is survived by his father Donald of Temple, wife Stephanie Cummings of Temple, step son Michael Barnett of Austin, step daughters Kristin Long of Salado, Kimberly Stanford of Temple, Kari Ramirez of Temple, and Katherine Barnett of Temple, sister Cathy Gates of Temple, and ten step grandchildren.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
