Funeral services for Charles Grissom, 73, of Belton will be held at 12 Noon,
Thursday, October 6, 2016
, at the St. Luke's Catholic Church in Temple with Father James Ekeocha officiating. Burial will follow at the Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Mr. Grissom died Thursday, September 29, 2016 in a Temple nursing home.
Mr. Grissom was born March 9, 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee and enlisted in the U. S. Army at the age of 16. He married Pilyoung Kim on December 28, 1965 in Michigan. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of honorable service and owned The Book Exchange, a used Bookstore in Belton. He was an avid reader, a loving husband, and a caring father. His wit, intelligence, generosity and kindness will be greatly missed by those he left behind.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pilyoung Grissom, March 14, 2015.
Survivors include daughter Dr. Onnie Grissom of Konstanz, Germany.
