Cherrie Beth Wilson

Cherrie Beth (Lewis) Wilson, 71, of Temple passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 in Temple.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Dr. Tom Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

Cherrie was born on August 19, 1945 in Houston, Texas to James Jr. And Dewey (Holder) Lewis. She was raised in Temple and graduated from Temple High School in 1963. Mrs. Wilson attended Temple Junior College and graduated from there in 1965. She worked as a medical secretary for the Scott and White nursing department and later for the State of Texas. She married Larry Wilson in 1967 at Eastside Baptist Church in Temple. Mr. Wilson preceded her in death in 2008. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moody.

Survivors include a brother Sonny Lewis and his wife Sharon of Prosper, Texas, sister Jeannene Maxwell and her husband Ralph of Temple, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place from 10-11 AM on Thursday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
