Johnnie Marie Barnes

Johnnie Marie Barnes, 90, of Belton left this world to join her Savior on Friday, October 14 ^th 2016. She was born February 22, 1926 in Belton to Silas Albert and Willie Maude York. Johnnie spent her childhood in Belton and graduated from Belton High School.

Johnnie moved to Dallas to become a dental assistant at Love Field and then returned to Central Texas and worked at Fort Hood. Johnnie married Jack Lloyd Barnes on December 30, 1952 and together they raised three sons.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Horace York, Morace York and S.A. York and sisters Elwanda Votaw, Ima Lee Truitt, and Gwenie Moore. Her husband Jack passed away in October of 1999.

She is loved, missed, and survived by her three sons, Charles Hebert of Belton, Jim Barnes of Belton and Danny Barnes of Washington, daughters-in-law Darlene Hebert and Suzie Barnes and five grandchildren, Ron Hebert, Jimmy Warren, Lindsie Wyrick, Allison Guenther and Joel Hebert and three great-grandchildren, Kenzie Hebert, Madison Warren and Macie Warren.

Visitation will be at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm, funeral proceedings will follow at 2:00 pm.
