Michael James Renick

Michael “Mikey” Renick, 30, of Belton passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Belton.

A memorial service for Mikey will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Gary Desalvo officiating.

Mikey was born on August 19, 1986 in Temple, Texas to Jeffery Blake Renick and Carrie "Susie" (Livingston) Renick. He grew up in Belton and graduated from Belton High School in 2004. Mikey married Jami Quinn on February 20, 2013 in Belton. He worked as a carpenter in general construction in the Central Texas area.

Mr. Renick was preceded in death by his father Jeffery in 1989, and a young son, Michael J. Renick, Jr., in 2013. He is survived by his wife Jami of Belton, sons Blake Renick and Tyler Renick of Belton, daughter Addison Renick of Belton, brothers William Renick of Hewitt, Doug Coggin of Belton, Keven Coggin of Liberty Hill, Michael Coggin of Elgin, and Chris Coggin of Austin, and his sister April Metcalf of Temple. Also surviving Mr. Renick is his mother Carrie "Susie" Stevens and his step father Dennis Stevens.

A visitation will take place from 8:30 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday morning prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help the family in Mikey’s honor under Jami’s name at the Temple or Belton Texas Partners Federal Credit Union.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
