Maria Trinidad Reyes, 93, of Belton passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Temple .

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Christ The King Catholic Church in Belton with Father Alirio Fernandez officiating. Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery .

Maria was born on May 14, 1923 in Michuacan , Mexico to Jesus and Natalia (Reyes) Reyes. She married Jeronimo Avila in Mexico and he preceded her in death in 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Belton.

Survivors include sons Adolfo Avila of Laredo, Jose Avila of Belton, Silvester Avila of Temple, Ramiro Avila of Laredo, Rafael Avila of Laredo, Austreberto Avila of Belton, Augustin Avila of Laredo, and Enrique Avila of Mexico, daughters Lucia Tapia of Belton, and Josefina Gonzalez of Mexico. Also surviving Mrs Reyes are 53 grandchildren, 107 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:oo to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM with Deacon Armando Aguirre officiating.
