Rae Elton Lisenbe, 88, of Belton passed away on January 5, 2017.

A memorial service for Mr. Lisenbe will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel with Kenneth Rae Lisenbe officiating.

Mr. Lisenbe was born on February 25, 1928 in the Armstrong Community in Bell County to George Chapel and Georgie (Jones) Lisenbe. He joined the Navy and served from 1947-1950. Mr. Lisenbe married Dorothy Forrest on July 11, 1950 in Little River. He was employed with Belltex Acoustics unitl 1990 when he retired. Rae was a member of the Carpenters Union and the SPJST for over 50 years as well as being a lifelong member of the VFW.

Mr. Lisenbe was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Martin, and four brothers, Glen Lisenbe, Ebbie Lisenbe, Kenneth Lisenbe, and Jerry Lisenbe.

Rae is survived by his wife of 66 years, a son Dennis Lisenbe of Temple, a daughter Denise Brown of Belton, a brother Bill Lisenbe of Odessa, three sisters, Janice McMillon of Heidenheimer, Gloria Hess of Little River, and Mary Ashby of Little River. Also surviving Mr. Lisenbe are five grandchildren, Derreck, Del, Ronnie,Jr., Samantha and Billy Rae and nine great grandchildren, Raenah, Pecos, Dylan, Bentley, Lexi, Jaya, Caitlin, Cade and Kutter.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
