Funeral services for Anita A. Nessitt, 81, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM , Saturday, January 21, 2017 , St. Paul Lutheran Church at The Grove with Pastor John Heckmann officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery .
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
Mrs. Nessitt died January 17, 2017 in a Temple Hospital .
Mrs. Nessitt was born June 29, 1935 in Odessa , Minnesota , the daughter of William and Martha (Podewils) Klepel. She grew up in Ortonville , Minnesota where she graduated high school. She received her Bachelors of Education from Concordia College in St. Paul , Minnesota and her Masters from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton. She married Richard Nessitt June 14, 1959 in Ortonville , Minnesota . She was a teacher for 45 years including teaching in Rapid City , South Dakota , Ortonville , Minnesota and Temple , Texas . She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in The Grove.
Mrs. Nessitt enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, participating in the church choir, drama and quilting. She blessed many people with her beautiful quilts.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Nessitt August of 2008.
Survivors include two daughters Rhonda Griffin of Temple and Carol Boriack of Temple ; one brother Glenn Klepel of Lyons , Colorado and one sister Marlys Boris and husband Wally of Reesville, Wisconsin . Six grandchildren, Jeremiah Stanley and wife Jennifer, Lindsey Fox, Jared Boriack, Elizabeth Boriack, Lexy Rivas and Suzy Rivas and one great granddaughter Alivia Stanley.
